(If you'd like me to add more, or change anything, just tell me and I'll fix it.)
Name: Erik
Age: Thirty-Two ( Changed his age up a bit, because from what I’ve been reading it would have added up to him actually being 50 years old… and that’s just far too old]
Gender: Male
Height: Six foot Two
Weight: Approx. 178 lbs.
Appearance:
•Face•
Erik may look normal to any other person, of course, only from one side, he is rather handsome, though decay and a disease in which he was born with had seemingly eaten’ the right side of his face away, leaving his horribly scarred, and nearly non-existent. Though alas in the reason why his mother had forced him to wear the mask, the mask he did take off until he joined that traveling carnival, or what most called a Freak Show. Though his the side of his face in which looks slightly normal, is very handsome. A strong jaw, along with a greatly shaped nose, and those dreamy green eyes in which could set any woman into a trance that needs no Magic.
•Body•
Of course, what with all of his running and climbing things constantly, Erik is in great shape. No weight on his body is due to fat, only muscle in which has grown over his years of being alive and traveling from place to place. Plus from all of the years he has been working on new things from singing and his magic tricks, he’s had nothing better to do in his spare time then teach himself how to fight, and what-not, which has helped keep his weight rather maintained.
•Clothing•
Of course, you would expect for a phantom to wear all black and cloaks. Well sad to say, you would be correct. Erik can usually be found in rather formal clothing, expensive fabrics in which he has stolen, and made himself, only the best will do for a man who lives alone, and knows no love. Thought it is rather difficult to tell that he makes his own clothes, what with great craftsmanship, no stitch out of place.
Personality:
Erik has a very odd personality. One could say that he’s bipolar, due to the fact that around certain people he can be polite and hold good conversations, and yet at the same time, his wicked mind is always racing, always trying to find a new way to win this game in which people call life. He is deviant, very, very dark, twisted. His mind has been corrupted for so many years that it has caused him to go mad, and act on his madness.
Erik is a killer, he kills when he feels the need to kill, and he is very strict when it comes to him and his plans. Once he wants something done, it will be done, and no isn’t a word that belongs in Erik’s little dictionary of words. If something doesn’t go his way, he can always find a way to make it so he wins in the end. That’s all that’s ever mattered to Erik, winning and getting what he wanted. Why else would he have come back to the Opera house in which he knew he could do something with? Though it isn’t always ran the way he likes it to be, he always writes his little notes to warn the managers of what he wants, and how he wants it done.
Though with Erik being as Twisted as he is, only a few people can see that he’s looking for attention, though he gets it in the most negative way, he feels as though, it’s better to have people fear him, than hate him. If it wasn’t for the way that the world had treated him, he wouldn’t be haunting the Opera house the way he does, threatening people, and even risking his beloved home because of them. He is dedicated to his work, as I have stated above, once he sets his mind to something there no stopping him. If he wants someone dead, he does it himself. If he wants a certain Opera to be done, he writes it himself, and orders the Managers to show it, or the Opera house in which brings them in they’re money will be doomed to burn.
Though on the outside, Erik is dark, and spiteful. Inside of him, inside of that dark soul, there is a sweet side, a side that only Madame Giry knows of him. The fact that he is intelligent, and a magician. And very kind to her, she is honestly the only person that has ever seen him smile a real smile. I suppose you could say that he is misunderstood, and that all he wants is someone to love him, and that is very true. Though there is so much hate that comes before that love, that kindness that hides it, or destroys it before it reaches the surface.

History:
(I’m going to slightly mix Susan Kay’s Version with the Movie.)
Erik was born during the summer of 1846, in the small village of Boscherville, France. The child of Charles, a master mason, and Madeleine, a wealthy housewife who had at one time intended to sing for the Paris Opera, it was no wonder that Erik showed an intense skill in both of these fields. Erik's father died during Madeleine's pregnancy, leaving him to be raised by a mother who was sickened by and frightened of him from the moment that he was born, so much so that she could not even bring herself to name him, having left that responsibility with the priest that had come to baptize him, telling him to name him after himself. The night that he was born, Erik received the only gift that he would ever receive from his mother - a mask.
During Erik's traumatic childhood, there were few who strove to give him the affection and attention that his mother wouldn't - Father Mansart, the priest who gave Erik his name; Marie Perrault, Madeleine's friend, who overcame her own timid nature in her attempts to force Madeleine to nuture Erik; Sasha, Madeleine's dog, who Erik was extraordinarily attached to; and Professor Guizot, from the School of Fine Arts in Paris, who provided Erik's early training in architecture. From the age of six months, Erik's genius was apparent. His intellect developed so rapidly, that his mother, and even Father Mansart could not keep up with the demands of his insatiable curiosity, necessitating the employment of Professor Guizot, who could more capably further Erik's education. All the while, Erik questioned his mother, demanding to know why he differed from everyone else, why she recoiled from him, and why he was forced to wear the mask. She answered him with tears, threats, lies and beatings. These instances only served to further separate Erik from the rest of humanity. Over the years, the villagers continuously tormented Madeleine and Erik, finally going as far as to savagely kill Sasha, and giving Erik a final push past the laws which govern the deeds of mankind. This same night, as Erik slept after having been stabbed by one of the villagers, his mother had finally resolved to attempt to repair the damage that she had done to her only child. It was also the night that Erik ran away, hoping to free his mother of her burden, as he set out to make a life for himself. He was nine years old.
Running off, Erik soon Joined a traveling show, a place where he was still beaten and hated, laughed at because he looked different. Even the other freaks that traveled with him teased him because of his face. Sadly, during his time there, his mask was taken, and broken by the man who kept him in a cage, locked away to be shown to the world. Erik was only nine, and that was when he realized how much he hated the world because it had shown him no love at all. While being shown one night, as a class of dancers came, a girl, years older than he at the time came, and seemingly saved him from that hell. The first person to show him kindness. She ran with him, took him to the Opera house where she hid him in the Cellars and took care of him. His only friend at the time, until she soon grew up, and had a child of her own. She no longer had time for Erik after that. Which once again, forced him back into the darkness, before Madame Giry came down one night and presented him with a new mask, one that he still has, and never takes off unless ready for sleep or bath.
Years seemed to pass, and that Cellar only became more like his home, adding his own stolen decorations, and whatnot, even making most of it by hand, when a little girl appeared. Someone that Madame Giry had brought. Erik had heard the stories, of how the girls father had died, and heard the little child speaking of an Angel of Music. From the moment Erik saw the child, he loved her. Saw her as a daughter at first while he sang to her through the walls, and taught her from hidden places. Only when she started to grow older did he realize that his love for her was more than just that. He wanted her for his own, and of course, Erik saw it as, if he can not have her, then no one can. Erik continued to tutor her. Teaching her to sing, and once she had sprouted that voice, Erik knew that she was destine for great things. Now, his new Task is to lure her in, and never let her go.
